Marie Curie: Pioneer of Radioactivity
Marie Sklodowska Curie left Russian Poland to study in Paris, where she earned two doctorates and two Nobel Prizes in different sciences. She coined radioactivity, discovered polonium and radium, and developed mobile X-ray units in World War I. She founded the Radium Institute and trained a daughter who won a Nobel Prize too.
